In comments here and Bay12, I read about 2 miner starts, and three miner starts. I do mostly mountainous embarks with a tile of trees somewhere at the bottom of a cliff, so starting dwarven hunters, herbalists, fisherdwarves(!?) etc., don't leap to mind as being especially useful. I made it in a rush, because clearly some people would want such a thing, and the "Craftlord" embarks are more 'intermediate.' I've started to rework the "Simple Start" a couple of times, but I'm having a lot of trouble doing so. I never even looked at the equipment, sorry to say. The "Simple Start" lacks an anvil! The "Craftlords" embarks lack picks!įor the "Simple Start," as I've admitted before, all I changed were skills, adding "Discipline," reducing other skills in a point neutral manner. All of them fail for one reason or another for new players. I think I can ask this with some authority, because I (mostly) wrote them. If the folks who submitted these want different titles, etc., this'd be a good time to speak up!] [Edit: Alright, it's 8:30 pm my local time, so here's what we have: Kitfox Discord #modding-discussion channelīronzemurder and Oilfurnace (illustrated) A three step guide:ĭownload DF Classic or install the premium version from Steam or Itch.ioįollow the quickstart guide on the wiki, or see other learning resources (below)Īsk any questions in the ☼Bi-weekly DF Questions Thread☼ - it's always active See the reasons for our rules here, and please report any problems!ĭF can be intimidating, but we're dedicated to helping new players.
